About the Role
As a Data Scientist at Tierpoint Partners, you’ll be the technical lead for client engagements, responsible for ingesting, connecting, and validating ERP and finance data. You’ll apply advanced analytics and process intelligence to enable actionable insights and drive measurable finance transformation. This interim, project-based role suits technically strong professionals with finance data expertise.
Responsibilities
Lead the ingestion and preparation of ERP and finance data for client projects.
Connect client systems to Tierpoint Partners’ process intelligence platforms using pre-built connectors.
Clean, validate, and structure data to ensure high-quality, reliable insights.
Collaborate with process analysts and finance advisors to enable data-driven recommendations.
Maintain accurate documentation of data workflows, transformations, and integration processes.
Provide technical guidance on best practices for data management, integration, and analysis.
Requirements
2–5 years’ experience in data science, analytics, or data engineering roles.
Strong understanding of finance data structures and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.).
Hands-on experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar analytics languages.
Experience with data visualisation and analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
Familiarity with process mining, process intelligence, or finance automation tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
Nice to Have
Previous consulting or interim experience in finance transformation projects.
Knowledge of AI/ML applications in finance or operational analytics.
Exposure to multi-country or complex enterprise finance environments.
Experience creating repeatable, scalable data pipelines for enterprise systems.
