About the Role
As a Finance Systems Expert at Tierpoint Partners, you will lead system design, implementation, and integration across client finance functions. Acting as the technical and functional authority, you will help organisations transition from legacy platforms to modern, cloud-based finance architecture. This interim role is ideal for qualified accountants who have evolved into systems specialists and can blend deep technical expertise with practical, hands-on finance transformation experience.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end finance system implementations, migrations, and integrations across SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Workday, and other cloud platforms.
Assess legacy system landscapes and design future-state architecture aligned to operational and reporting needs.
Translate finance requirements into system specifications, configuration, workflows, and data models.
Support clients in selecting systems, defining scope, and shaping implementation roadmaps.
Collaborate with process analysts, data scientists, and interim delivery teams to ensure technology supports process optimisation.
Oversee testing, validation, data migration, and cutover activities to ensure smooth go-lives.
Provide functional guidance on controls, reporting structures, and finance data integrity.
Troubleshoot system issues and embed sustainable post-implementation practices.
Contribute proactively to Tierpoint Partners marketing content (thought leadership, podcasts, webinars, speaker events).
Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
Extensive hands-on expertise implementing or integrating major finance systems (SAP/S4HANA, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Workday).
Strong understanding of finance processes, reporting structures, data flows, and systems architecture.
Demonstrated experience improving system efficiency, reporting accuracy, and operational performance.
Ability to interpret finance requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
Nice to Have
Experience working in consulting, technology-enabled transformation, or large-scale implementation programmes.
Exposure to process mining or automation tools that enhance system performance.
Familiarity with cloud integration platforms, API connectivity, and finance data governance.
Previous interim or independent consulting experience.
