About the Role
As an R2R Module Lead at Tierpoint Partners, you will act as the senior subject matter expert for all Record-to-Report engagements. You will guide clients through complex R2R transformation, diagnose root causes using process intelligence, and design practical, high-impact solutions that improve control, accuracy, and reporting efficiency. This interim role is ideally suited to seasoned R2R practitioners with deep operational experience and a track record of delivering measurable improvement across finance functions.
Responsibilities
Lead R2R workstreams across client engagements, acting as the primary subject matter expert.
Assess current-state processes using process intelligence and identify root causes of inefficiency or control weaknesses.
Design, prioritise, and oversee implementation of R2R improvement initiatives and transformation roadmaps.
Advise clients on best practices for close optimisation, reconciliations, journal governance, and reporting integrity.
Work collaboratively with data scientists, analysts, and interim delivery teams to ensure aligned execution.
Provide hands-on leadership during critical close cycles to stabilise processes and embed improvements.
Produce high-quality documentation, insights, and recommendations for executive stakeholders.
Contribute proactively to Tierpoint Partners marketing content (thought leadership, podcasts, webinars, speaker events).
Support pre-sales activity, scoping, and solution design for new R2R opportunities.
Requirements
Extensive experience in R2R transformation, optimisation, or advisory roles within medium or large organisations.
Demonstrable expertise across close management, reconciliations, journals, reporting, controls, and compliance.
Strong understanding of finance ERPs, sub-ledgers, reporting tools, and finance architecture.
Prior exposure to process mining or process intelligence methodologies (e.g., Celonis, Signavio, QPR) advantageous.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional stakeholders and drive measurable operational improvements.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence executive finance leaders.
Nice to Have
Experience working in consulting or leading finance transformation programmes.
Background in automation or AI enablement within the R2R process.
Familiarity with modern close tools and reporting technologies.
Prior interim or independent consulting experience.
