Jeld-Wen

Placing experienced interim finance leaders across complex international manufacturing operations

Multiple acquisitions across Germany had left finance reporting fragmented and inconsistent. The EMEA leadership team needed interim finance leaders who understood manufacturing, spoke German and could drive standardisation across geographically dispersed sites. Tierpoint was asked to find them.

The Situation

Following a series of acquisitions, Jeld-Wen wanted to integrate finance operations across multiple manufacturing sites in Germany. Local reporting practices varied significantly, creating inconsistent management information and limiting the EMEA finance team's ability to deliver reliable reporting and strong financial control.

What We Found

Many of the acquired businesses had followed the same processes for decades, and local teams were reluctant to change. The profile required was rare: finance leaders with manufacturing experience, fluent German and UK reporting expertise, willing to work on site across remote locations.

What We Did

Tierpoint identified and introduced a team of interim finance leaders who met that profile, drawing on long-standing relationships with specialists whose work we knew first-hand. Each was fully referenced, briefed on the business and supported throughout the assignment.

The Result

Working on site across Germany, the interims standardised reporting, strengthened financial controls and built trusted relationships with local finance teams. Reporting consistency improved across the German businesses, giving the EMEA leadership team greater confidence in its financial information.
